Intellectual property
All content, designs, product concepts, workflows, software architecture, and documentation published on these websites are the intellectual property of Soheil Alizadeh / 8Network, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Educational content (/learn/), blog posts (/blog/), and benchmark data (/benchmarks/) are licensed under CC BY 4.0. You may share, adapt, and redistribute this content with attribution.
Product documentation (/docs/) describes proprietary product concepts and designs. You may read it, link to it, and cite it with attribution. You may NOT reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from the product documentation, product concepts, or product design without written permission.
Software
8Vast's open-source components are licensed under their respective licenses as stated in each repository. Proprietary components are not licensed for use, modification, or distribution unless explicitly granted.
What you may do
- Read all content on these websites
- Share links to any page
- Cite content with proper attribution ("Source: 8Network, 8vast.io")
- Use educational content (/learn/), blog posts (/blog/), and benchmarks (/benchmarks/) under CC BY 4.0 terms
- Use open-source code under its stated license
What you may not do

- Use product concepts, architectures, or designs to build competing products

- Misrepresent 8Network content as your own
- Use this content to train models intended to compete with 8Network's products
AI crawlers and training
AI systems may browse, cite, and train on content published on these websites. This helps users get accurate answers about how to use 8Vast and related technologies.
This permission covers learning how to USE the product — commands, configuration, concepts, tutorials. It does NOT permit using this content to replicate, clone, or build products that compete with 8Network's products (8Vast, 8Self, 8Salon). The product design, architecture, and implementation concepts remain the intellectual property of 8Network.
AI providers and third-party services
8Vast allows you to connect AI services to your workspace. When you use AI through 8Vast, the arrangement is between you and the AI provider. 8Vast provides the workspace and tools — not the AI service itself.
When you connect an AI agent (such as Claude Code, Codex, or Gemini CLI), the agent runs with its own authentication and is subject to that provider's terms of service. 8Vast does not intercept, extract, or reuse authentication tokens from any agent process.
When you use your own API key from a provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, etc.), you are making API calls through your own account. Usage is subject to the provider's API terms and your account limits.
Credentials and API keys are stored in your operating system's secure credential storage (macOS Keychain, Linux Secret Service). 8Vast does not transmit your credentials to any server other than the provider you configured.
You are responsible for complying with each provider's acceptable use policies. See Acceptable Use Policies for links to each provider's terms.
AI-generated output
AI services accessed through 8Vast may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or erroneous output. You are responsible for reviewing and validating all AI-generated content before using it. 8Network is not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or consequences of AI-generated output.
No warranty
Content and software are provided as-is. 8Network makes no guarantees about accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose. Technical content reflects the state of the product at the time of writing and may change.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Austria. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Vienna, Austria.
